Character

The aroma of Patchouli is very distinctive and it has been my experience that you either love it's rich, woodsy, balsamic sweetness or you absolutely Do Not! There seems to be no middle ground for this essential oil. That said, I absolutely love the scent of Patchouli, but then again I love masculine, deep aromas and even the smell of a wafting pipe. I love it blended with Ylang ylang and sweet orange.

Often referred to as the "hippy" oil, it has been a staple in perfumery since recorded time.Excellent in skin care, patchouli helps to reduce inflammation, dermatitis, control sebaceous glands and also helps promote healthy new skin cells. When added to shampoo and conditioner, it also helps alleviate dandruff.

 Main therapeutic properties: Antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, deodorant, fungicide, sedative.

Use
