     Character

Grapefruit essential oil smells just the fruit itself and is a true Citrus Splash with just a hint of sweetness underneath.

Grapefruit essential oil is a wonderful equalizer in blends that fall just a bit flat ... if blending oils for your diffuser and you find that it lacks “life”, just add a drop or two of this liquid sunshine and your blend will come to life with energy, vitality and happiness.

Grapefruit can be useful in lymphatic drainage massage, helping to treat water retention and is good for a congested liver. Have a hangover? In morning bath blend together a few drops of rosemary and grapefruit and you should feel better in no time!

It can be diffused during meditation for reflection, or when feeling emotionally vulnerable and lifts spirits. Grapefruit also promotes self-esteem.

I love to make a room spray or body spray with Rose Hydrosol and a few drops of Grapefruit. It is truly happiness in a spray bottle ... this spritzer is also wonderful to spray before company comes over as it tends to unite a room.

In a room full of people who don't know each other well, Grapefruit essential oil is a true Extravert & life of the party!

For aromatherapy.  For all other uses carefully dilute with the carrier oil of your choice prior to use. Please consult a certified aromatherapist or essential oil book for dilution rates and other uses.

Contraindications: Grapefruit essential oil oxidizes rapidly so be sure to keep in a dark bottle, out of direct sunlight ... you may keep in the fridge to extend the life. Because Grapefruit is a citrus, this means it may be phototoxic.  If using this oil topically, be sure to stay out of the sun up to 12 hours after use and check for skin sensitivity before using.
