The beautiful, distinctive scent of Lavender is very widely recognized and has been part of the healing arts for centuries. In fact, it is one of the oldest medically documented healing herbs going back 2500 years. With so many uses it is the “go-to” remedy of many naturopaths and aromatherapists alike. Bulgarian Lavender can be diffused throughout the home to invoke a feeling of calm, peacefulness and to purify the air after a stressful day. It is prescribed for lowering blood pressure, relieving anxiety, a natural and therapeutic sleep aid, headaches and migraines. Can be inhaled directly, diffused, used in synergy blends or applied neat onto burns for faster healing. Add one or two drops to unscented oils or Epsom salts and add to a relaxing bath (essential oils will float on top of the water so remember to add them to some kind of carrier before sinking into the bath tub). In the shower, add one or two drops onto a clean, damp facecloth and rub briskly over skin. I like to add a drop onto my pillow case before going to sleep.
